The Lunging Front Kick

Ferocious Frank starts off in Combat Stance. (see stances)

Like the front kick only before he throws the kick, he lunges back with the existing back leg (notice the red background - that's the difference in this kick), steps through from the back, lifts his opposite leg, pushes through, rocks his hips a bit forward, and extends his leg. He arms always stand ready to guard.

Defense benefit: Pushes your oppenent back, by knocking out his wind, giving you the oppurtunity to create distance between you and your oppenent. At this point in a fight, you can either run or deliver a jump front kick to your oppenent's mid section or head. (depending on how high your jump is)

Fitness benefit:
The lunging alone will strengthen and tone the gluts, quadriceps, and hamstrings and is eExcellent for improving posture. The kick itself is a great quad, calf, and overall balance workout. (when executed slowly)
