The Cross

Start off in Combat Stance. (see stances)

Here's why your Combat stance is so important. You're going to come off your back arm when throwing the cross. Same 2 knuckles, same 3 targets as the jab, only this time you're coming from the back arm, so you twist the hip around, release your shoulder, and release the back heel. When you twist the heel, think of it as if you're stepping on and twisting out a cigarette butt.

Defense benefit: Knocks out your oppenent, giving you time to get away.

Fitness benefit: Same as the Jab. Twist the arm so that your thumb is facing the floor, and you'll start shaping your shoulder.
